Faith Bomb

This is a love bomb created for Faith Galvan. You have touched so many lives with your art. For this and for being our friend, we say thank you:

birdI was asked if I wanted to make a love bomb, and it took me awhile to think of how to say what I feel. I kept thinking, bird; but then, I thought, no, Faith isn’t chirpy and cheery. Then I heard a line in my head from a song; Blackbird. And I realized, that’s it! Blackbirds are one of the smartest and most creative birds there are. People give blackbirds quite elaborate puzzles, and they keep working until the puzzle is solved. Blackbirds know their friends, and their love is generous and dedicated. They’re not chirpy, but they have a wild beauty of their own.

I hear you singing in the dead of night. It gets better from here on.
You were only waiting for this moment to arise. (video)

I haven’t got any beautiful images to share, I just want to say I’m really glad to have gotten to know you (if only a little) through this group. You’re taking huge steps to grab hold of your own life, which is admirable in so many ways, and just as difficult. I’m looking forward to seeing where this path takes you, and I feel fortunate to be able to send you my love this way. The Faith train will keep going! A huge amount of hugs for you, and lots of love and courage as well! ♥ ♥ ♥

Rat Tree

Ruth’s Rat Tree

Dear Faith, my beautiful friend, I cannot wait to visit you and see you paint in person, colors all over your hands and some on your shirt, like the true artist you are. I want to watch you grow and learn to be patient with yourself. I want to laugh with you and take you to lunch. I know that I am only a virtual friend, but I care about you as though I’ve lived next door to you for years and sat on the porch swing with you in the evening, watching the lightning bugs dance. Let’s make that happen, OK? I hope to see you soon, Faith. Much love. (This is a photo of the tree that I can see from my kitchen window. Doesn’t it look like a beautiful rat? (once you see it, you cannot unsee it) Maybe it’s just me, but now I see a rat every time I look at it and then I think of you and your fab rat paintings.

It has been such an honor to watch you evolve and grow as a person and as an artist. I am so thankful for the role you play in our community! I hope this love bomb brings joy to your heart.

Dearest Faith,

I am so very glad to have had the chance to get to know you these past few months here in Slothland. Your dedication to your art is inspiring and I am completely blown away by all you’ve done. You have come so far in such a short time I have absolutely no doubt about your natural talent and the fact that this is what you were meant to do.

You are an incredible artist and a lovely person and I just wanted to thank you for sharing your art with us. I’ve made you some of my ‘pocket Amanda’ cards for you and will send them along if you don’t mind pm’ing me your address IRL.

With much love and appreciation,

Michael’s Rat

Dear wonderful Faith, you have a wonderful journey in art in front of you. When you look at your past paintings with dislike, thinking they are no good, try to figure out what in your eyes makes them bad and how you could improve your technique. That way something good comes from it and need not feel like such a waste. Art is wonderful, but it does take a lot of hard work, anyone who says otherwise is lying. If you stick with it, and please do, it can become a close friend and can help you immensely both mentally and emotionally. You have talent so please continue with your art, and when you feel down and things are not going the way you want, we will be here for you to help lift your spirits. Always with love and hugs, Michael. PS. You seem to like rats, so here is a relief print I did of a rat in 2013  ♥

Dear Faith,
I’ve been thinking about you a lot these last few days. I just wanted to tell you that I’m grateful to know you. Your art makes me happy, your creativity, your beautiful progress, even your raw emotions which you share so bravely. You have the soul of a true artist, and you have got so much talent. I’m sorry that you suffer, that life is so difficult foyou sometimes – but I do care a lot about you, and I want to see you happy and free to create. Seeing your pictures always makes me want to do more art myself. I miss you, your voice in the group, your art, and I hope you will soon be back with us, feeling better and ready to take up your life. You are awesome – and never let that tiny voice in your head tell you differently! I’m so glad you are still with us.
